TOOLS + SUPPLIES
Students are also encouraged to bring basic architecture model making tools such as x-acto blades, metal rulers, scales, drawing supplies, etc. We also recommend that you bring any electronics equipment you may have including a soldering iron and solder, wire strippers, helping hands, digital multimeter, etc. Here is a great link for info on the best tools to purchase. CCA also has great shops and facilities and the CCA RPS Rapid Prototyping Studio will also be open for use during the workshops. We will primarily use the laser cutting machines. the RPS sells a wide range of materials for use on the laser cutter machines, and for general model making. Arch (a drafting, graphic and art supply shop) is also right around the corner from CCA, and there are several RadioShack outlets close by, the amazing Center Hardware, and Tap Plastics.
